Founder & Executive Director
My academic background and initial NGO experience formed the foundation for continuous growth that has given purpose to my passion. In 2020, I completed an edX course with the Community Health Academy, focusing on health systems, community participation, and universal health coverage. Two years later, I was accepted into the virtual African Civic Engagement Academy, a U.S. Department of State-funded program delivered online by the JW Fanning Institute of Leadership Development at the University of Georgia. Developing a Civic Engagement Action Plan for vulnerable community healthcare during this program inspired the founding of KCDF.
Holding a Master’s in Sociology (Development) and a Diploma in Social Work for Development, I understand why urban spaces in third societies are often excluded from transformation – primarily because communities themselves are left out of the process.
As Executive Director, my goal is to guide KCDF’s journey as a nonprofit startup. I strategically drive our mission across programming, human capital, communications, and fund development, ensuring our core vision priorities stay on track through strong engagement with stakeholders, partners, and funders.
